What we review: Dystopian/Post-Apocalyptic Fiction, Horror/Thriller, Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy, Young Adult Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Paranormal
What we don’t review: Contemporary Romance/YA/Science Fiction/Fantasy, Literary Fiction, Western Fiction, Poetry, Self-Help, Religious Fiction, Historical Romance
Format: We accept PDF, eBook and hard copies of books to review.
Publication Date: We accept new/upcoming releases. We no longer accept books that were released over 3 months from current date.
Things you should know before requesting a review: Smash now has assistance with reviewing books for the blog. We will do our best to read and review your book as soon as possible. If you have a specific date that you would like the review to be posted, please let us know in your request and we will do our best to accommodate you. If we review an ARC, we will be sure to post the review closer to the release date, though we cannot always guarantee this.
We are honest and fair in our reviews, and will always be courteous and truthful. Here is the book review listing for sample reviews.
How We Decide What to Review: Every request that is received is sent out to the team of reviewers to see who is interested and able to read and review the book. If none of the team members are interested or able to read the book, the review request will be denied. Emails will be sent only for books that are accepted for review. We choose books to review based on our personal genre interest and availability. Sadly, we all have lives outside of blogging and therefore, cannot accept every request.
***Please ensure that your book falls within my “What We Review” genres. If the genre is not on the list, your request will be denied.
NOTE: If we finish a book, it will get reviewed. However, there are books that we are unable to finish due to disinterest, etc. These books are posted on the blog as DNF: Did Not Finish, with an explanation as to why. We are always honest and professional, and also mention what we did like about the book. Just because we did not like the book does not mean someone else will not.
Author Interviews, Guest Posts, and Giveaways: We would be more than happy to promote your book with a giveaway, blog tour, author interview and / or guest post.
