I know I said I didn’t want to know, but the closer the ultrasound date, the more I started feeling excited that I COULD find out, and then I caved hardcore. Everyone kept saying they thought it was a girl, so T & I were actually surprised it’s a boy. They had us convinced and I admit to a 5 second feeling of disappointment, but it quickly disappeared into elation and excitement. I think I was more sad that I couldn’t name a girl Lowry Paige, then the fact it wasn’t actually a girl. LOL. T & I would love to adopt later in life, so there may be a Lowry Paige yet. I am SO happy to have the opportunity to raise a good man with T. And I’m so excited for him to have a son. It’s just all kinds of awesome.
So this lil bambino is either going to be Gage Matthew or Niko Anthony. We’re going to wait until we meet him, but Gage is the front-runner. I find it funny that the stroller/car seat we bought from a friend was boyish (though gender neutral also), I bought a pregnancy shirt in blue and was wearing a blue shirt the day of the ultrasound. I felt the baby for the first time the day of the ultrasound, and so did T. I feel him constantly now, and I swear he is so aware! He moved a lot when I was watching breast-feeding and natural childbirth videos, and he moved a lot when I read to him for the first time. And he is doing somersaults as we speak! It’s an indescribable feeling.
I’ve started buying baby stuff. I’m not going overboard but pick out one or two things when ever I’m out shopping for other stuff. I found an awesome baby consignment shop where the clothes are definitely on the cheap side and in great condition. It’s also saved me on the maternity clothes side, too. Thank the heavens! Here are some of my fun finds..
I’ve definitely stopped posting a whole lot, and even visiting the blogosphere daily. I think it’s safe to say that I’ve lost interest for now. I want to do it, and I think about it a lot, but my mind is too focused on the excitement, fear and love I’m feeling these days. I haven’t stopped reading though, and it is still my bedtime ritual. I don’t really have time to read otherwise, but it is my favorite hobby evar and will always make time for it.
Until next time!
