This Week’s Question:
Top Ten Bookish People You Want To Meet (Authors, Bloggers, etc.)
I’ve luckily met some authors that I’ve wanted to meet badly, and some bloggers who have become really amazing friends (I miss my MIA chicas!!). It’s always such an amazing experience. I might do a mix and match of sorts here, keeping it strictly to the bookish realm…
Authors
- Jen Lane: Love her! I’m so happy we connected through the blogosphere and it’s great to have someone else to help me analyze the hell out of characters. I would truly love to sit and talk with her in the flesh. I’ve enjoyed reading her work, too. I love when I step outside of my preferred genres and love the books!
- Rhiannon Frater: ZOMG. I would probably talk her ears off. Zombies and vampires and mayhem, oh my!
- M.R. Merrick: I’ve been lucky enough to meet two other rock star Indie authors recently, but not Matty. And he’s SO FAR. *sniff*
- Thea Harrison: How awesome would that be? I might ask her, nicely, to hand over Tiago and look the other way.
Bloggers
- My Associate Reviewers: Mel, Audrey and Cody! Yes, they are getting lumped into one. They all have stellar personalities and I adore them for their interesting and entertaining perspectives on books. I cannot express how happy I am that they signed up to review for my crazy blog, because it just would not feel the same without them.
- Amanda from On a Book Bender: She rocks on many levels. I love her sense of humor, her eclectic blog, her review style, her amazing grammar skills, her incredibly creative bloggie events and most of all, her sweet, helpful, honest personality. She is full of win.
- Felicia from Geeky Blogger’s Book Blog: Felicia has been uber supportive and so damn nice to me since day one. She’s also gifted me some uber awesome items (like an owl mug and owl apron), that I seriously need to give her a ginormous hug.
- Ashley from The Bookish Brunette: So much WIN, right there. The Dark Ashs might bring down the house!
- Chelsea from Vampire Book Club: Chelsea is pretty wicked awesome in the blogging arena and I definitely look up to her. She’s got professionalism and spunk. Word.
- Kt from A Book Obsession: My book twin! Need I say more?
Of course, these lists do not include everyone. I’d love to meet every author I’ve read and every blogger I’ve encountered. So blame Top Ten Tuesdays if you are not listed. Ha! Just Kidding.

*Yay* thanks for some of your fave bloggers – quite a few of them are new to me!
Fantastic list!! I would love to meet Matt, Rhiannon, and Ashley!! (And YOU of course!!) I think that all of you would be even more epically awesome in person!!
Yea, meeting someone in person is always so awesome. I’m pretty shy in person but I have to sit there and remember all the shit I’ve joked about or talked seriously with said person, and just let it go.
I would love to meet you too!
So Chelsea lives like 20 minutes from me (so does Kristen from My Bookish Ways) so you needzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz to come to Texas to visit us
Rhiannon is so awesome! I did talk her ear off when I met her at a book signing in Dallas. I am pretty sure she will avoid Dallas in the future so her “super talkative” stalker doesn’t come LOL (I seriously stood there for almost an hour talking to her)
Yea, Texas is FULL of amazing people – that is for sure!! Ha. I’m sure Rhiannon enjoyed your conversation. lol
Ahhh! I feel so lurved and special. I’m thrilled to be a part of your fantabulous blog. I’ll meet you one of these days. ATL is a happenin’ place for books and it’s not that far from KY. Will be nice to finally meet my sister in snark. *grins*
I am hoping, hoping, hoping you can make it to ATL! It would be rocksauce awesome.
Aw, thanks, darlin’! I would love to meet you too. Maybe I’ll make my way to Atlanta someday. I’d like to meet Amanda as well.
That would rock the casbah!
Fun list and great description!
OUaT’s TTT
Great list!! I would love to meet Rhiannon!
And Amanda! Both are full of win!
FULL OF IT!
Thank you so much, Ash! I would absolutely love to get to meet you, too. SOMEDAY!!
MAYBE? Going to AAD in Savannah? I don’t know if I will have the funds to sign up before they run out of tix, but I could always still come down there and hang out. lol
I don’t think I’m going to AAD 2013, but I may be the national RWA convention in Atlanta in the summer. *fingers crossed* (If I’m in the area, I’ll make time for Ash hang-out fun.)
I should be able to make RWA since it’s here, so THAT’S awesome. ♥
*tackle hugs* I want to meet you, too! We would sit around and drink coffee and discuss how awesome we are. And, books. We’d probably talk about books, too. Maybe.
Did you know that Kelly got to meet Thea? I think I would just end up turning bright red and I wouldn’t know what to say, so I’d stand there awkwardly before blurting out, “I love your books!”
Yes. You mapped out our meeting perfectly. ♥
I did not know Kelly got to meet Thea! Holy crapola! I’d either smile real big and get red in the face, or talk non-stop about her world-building skills and hot mens.
Frater would be so much fun. Can’t wait to get to Exiled & Shift so I can stalk Merrick too.
Matty is so stalkable. LOL
Ooh, I love that your list isn’t the same ole, same ole. (Of course, I’d love to meet some of those “same ole” authors but whatevs.) I’d definitely have to add Thea Harrison to that list of meet-able authors!
Yes. Thea is a must!
It would be seriously awesomesauce to meet in person. Maybe someday!
Yes. We could fangirl! Woot!
I saw that you made someone’s top ten so when I saw you on the linky I had to stop by. I love your blog design so cute!
Very interesting list! I have two books by M. R. Merrick but they have got buried in my tbr pile! I have to make time for these soon!
Thank you for stopping by! Merrick’s books are really great. I love elemental magic! And Chase. ♥
Agreed, it would be totally awesome to meet Rhiannon Frater – I wanna pick her brains (not literally, that’s kinda intimate!)
Ha. WAIT until you read my review of Pretty When She Dies and what I say about Rhiannon’s brains…LOL
