This Week’s Question:
Favorite Books You’ve Read During The Lifespan Of Your Blog
HARD! Way too many…I definitely don’t mention them all, but these are the ones that popped in my head. I CHEAT, as always.

- Outlander: How can you not love this love story? I am kinda surprised I have not picked up the other books, but oh, I will. Jamie Fraser should not ever be abandoned.
- Fire: I was truly enamored throughout this entire book. And I love the realistic, subtle, beautiful, natural romance. Of course, the entire trilogy is YA Fantasy at its finest, though I still haven’t read Bitterblue…
- The Marbury Lens: Um, yea. WTFkery at its finest, yo!
- Where She Went: Oh my. Just, wow. An emotional roller coaster that I would endure over and over again.
- Enclave: I seriously love the world that Ann Aguirre has created. Gritty, dangerous, thrilling.
- Divergent: Yea, I think most of the population is head over heels for this book. It was exciting!
- The False Prince: What a gem this book is! Sage is one of my favorite YA male characters, for sure.
- Awaken: I recently re-read it, and I think I could re-read it a million times and still feel it. I think I’m in the minority, but the overall message and experiences of this book speak loudly to me.
- Dragon Bound: Um, YES! This ENTIRE series, thank you very much. Thea brought sexy back to PNR!
- Partials: LOVED this sci-fi/medical dystopian drama. It is right up my alley!
- The Immortal Rules: The world-building knocked my socks off.
- Shadow and Bone: ZOMG! The world-building in this one, too! And the Darkling!
- Inahle: SO Impressed with the world-building in these books!
- Spider’s Bite: I am definitely late to the game. This series rocks my face off!
- Jenny Pox: The ENTIRE series. All. Of. It. Love. Awesome. Crazy. Win!
- The First Days: This trilogy had me gripping its cover and so afraid to turn the page but turned every page with lightning speed because you have to know what happens next! *takes a breath*
- Exiled: I really love this series, especially the 2nd installment. Lots of character and writer growth. Glorious.
- The Night Circus: A seriously entertaining, whimsical, magical ride, indeed.

Great list! I was just going to say The Night Circus is on my list too – then I realised I didn’t actually put it on my list! It probably sits at number 11 for me. Such a lovely book. Where She Went almost made the list too. I still have to read Divergent!
I have only read 6 of those! Though Night Circus I just picked up on audiobook so I will listen to it soon
Oh! Can’t wait to hear what you think of the audio. I’d like to reread it that way.
I hate to admit that I haven’t actually read a lot of these! I have read Divergent and Shadow and Bone and absolutely LOVED those two, so I think I’ll enjoy a lot of others that are on your list. I’ll definitely have to check them out. Great choices!
Steph @ Stepping Out Of The Page
Ohhhh. I’m excited for you then!
Definitely Outlander and Divergent! Those are some of my favourites, too.
I wasn’t the biggest fan of The Immortal Rules and Shadow & Bone, though. Glad you liked them!
Oh, and The Night Circus was a great read!!
HOW will I EVER be your friend now, Kristilyn??????????
So many awesome choices! It’s ok that you cheated too, it can be hard to narrow it down. Jenny Pox was awesome (recently finished) and the First Days was so good!
YAY for new Jenny fans! That series just ROCKS! And yea, ATWD trilogy is among my fav zombie fiction!
Yeah zombies and apocalypses and Jenny Pox! I read Where She Went last weekend – I had to go and buy it as SOON as I finished Before I Go.
I’ve read the first 3 1/2 Outlander books, but the first is still my absolute favourite. Oh Jamie!
Before I Go? I mean, If I Stay. But Before I Go could have worked too.
Before I Go, If Stay. Pretty similar actually.
JAMIE! ♥
I think Awaken is one of the most underrated books of last year! It was awesome, and the subtle social commentary was brilliant! I haven’t read all of these, but I love the ones that I have read! Great picks!
Karis @YA Litwit
My Top Ten
OMG! Another AWAKEN fan! SQUEEEEEEEEEE! I am wicked happy to learn this. I haven’t talked to many ppl who “get it” but THANK YOU, Karis, for being someone who does! ♥ The social commentary blew me away, and honestly, I just loved witnessing Maddie’s growth and experiencing LIFE for the first time. And well, Justin was a major perk.
I really don’t know if I could pick 10 faves! I loved so many and each one that hit that sweet spot hit it for a different reason at different times. Love your picks, though. Seriously awesome books!
That is so very true. I can never stay within the 10 on this meme. Like, ever….
Nice collection you have there.
Why thank you…
Woooooo for Outlander!!! And for Kristin Cashore, I love her books
Heck yea!
I need to read Spider’s Bite.
Great list!
I think you went a wee bit over ten books, Smash.
You know, I honestly didn’t even pay attention to the count. But yes, you are very right. I should learn to reduce my fangirling.
