1. Unfairly grounded by his parents, Jason decides to lie to them so he can go to the audition in Minneapolis. Unfortunately, not only does the audition end poorly but his parents discover his lie and things go downhill from there. Tell us the most outrageous lie you’ve ever been caught in. Bonus points if you can provide pictorial proof. Reenactments eagerly accepted.
There are a few I wish to keep to myself and not relive…sorry for being a Debbie Downer on this Q! I’ll make it up to you.
2. In Faerie, Aoide is summoned to see the Faerie Queen. Have you ever met someone important like the Faerie Queen? Someone famous? Tell us the story behind how it happened. Once again, pictures are a plus!
Well, few are as important or scary as the Faerie Queen, but I’ve met a handful of celebrities.
Some locals…
The Tampa Ren Fair’s Men in Tights. *wiggles eyebrows*
And Tampa’s own set of Magic Mikes (NO, not Channing. *sobs*)
(Yes, that is me in the green pants. On my 18th birthday.)
and some more well-known…
I’ve met R. Kelly, Jamie Walters and Tyson Beckford. Sadly, I cannot find the Tyson pictures.
MAJOR EDIT:
How could I freaking forget meeting THIS GUY!

but the biggest superstar I know is my mama!

Of course, there are all the awesome authors I’ve met too, who are obviously SUPERSTARS to all us book nerds!
3. Caught lying to his father about his non-existent job at the car wash, Jason has now found gainful employment at Buddy McSlawburger’s – where he’s forced to wear “the funny hat” as part of his uniform. What’s the worst job you’ve ever had? Did it involve a particularly noxious uniform? Tell us about it – in riveting, full-color detail!
Ugh. The worst job I ever had was my FIRST job, which was selling shoes at the local shady shoe shop. I was 14, and honestly, I think that where my fear of feet comes from! Don’t make me relive it!
I did volunteer at the local zoo though, and had to dress up in those obscenely hot animals suits. My favorite was the manatee. Sadly, I have no pictures. :/
4. In an effort to regain their stolen instruments, Aoide and Rhodia travel to the sugar swamp to hire a hunter. Wouldn’t you love to live somewhere where the water is sweet and the grass is made of sugar cane? Show us a picture of you enjoying your favorite sweet treat. Or, rewrite history and tell us how your version of the sugar swamp would differ from the one in the book.
I pretty much want to live in the Sugar Swamps and have my very own unicorn name Peanut Butter Cup, or Buttercup for short. My favorite sweet treat is anything with peanut butter and chocolate or strawberries and chocolate. I love a good milkshake or frozen drink.

P.S. Of course I would find the pictures I needed for last week now. I’m adding them here because they have to be shared.

Those are great pics!! Love your 18th B-Day pics!!! You have met some pretty cool people. I wish I could have milkshakes!! Being lactose intolerant limits me with tasty things.
I was a wild child when I was younger. Oh how I wish I still had that energy and spunk…
I would not want to be lactose intolerant. *hugs you*
I know it!! I would be up and out all night!! Now by 9:30pm I want to go to bed. Sometimes before lol! Being lactose intolerant sucks hardcore!!
Good job provided homework from last week! Well worth it.
I love peanut butter & chocolate, too, and I know I’m taking a very controversial stand with that. Will be careful about waving buffalo wings in your direction!
Also, I’ll let you know if any real estate opportunities open up in the sugar swamps. I heard some goblins started a timeshare, but they’re pretty messy.
I’ll pay extra for the housecleaning service.
Holy shiz…those pics of your 18th birthday are hilarious!
A shady shoe place? I think I’d rather NOT know…lol
Mmm, peanut butter and chocolate…yum! My Astronomy teacher in high school used to make these peanut butter chocolate truffle ball thingies that were the DELICIOUS! He never shared the recipe with us though =/ Boo to that! lol
Ugh. It was a nasty shoe store. Nasty customers. Ick.
I bet you could make an awesome peanut butter truffle if you really wanted to! Let me know when its perfected and I’ll send you my address..lol
The shoe job explains sooooooo much about your foot-fear. Lol! Gross.
Joe M! Delish!
It’s true, and faeries helped me figure it out!
Oh how could you forget Joe! I love the pics this week. My friends and I went to some strip clubs too when we were younger. I agree with you that I wish I still was that young, wild and free.
I feel like a major fail for forgetting Joe. DUH!!
We can always feel that way in our hearts. ♥
ugh… shoe shop… not good…
But your birthday party pics are funny!!
Cynthia
It WAS fun! I want to do it again now.
I love your birthday pics! I went to several strip shows when I turned 18 as well! lol Great celeb pics. You met Alcide?! Awesome! I would not want to work with feet either. I love shakes.
My Answers
I did meet Alcide. I did not get to touch him though. *sobs*
Oh, Ash! You’re the best at these posts. I love your old photos. And I still remember when you blogged about meeting Joe. My heart squeed for you!
Yay! I love squees.
OMGosh, Joe. Seriously, he should be naked more often. Men like that should not be allowed to wear shirts in public. Mmmmm….
And now I’m craving BBQ wings. I love those things. Seriously, I think I’m going to go to the store and get a pack. *drools*
The Manatee costume makes me giggle like an idiot. I don’t know why a giant sea creature costume does that, but it does.
Lastly – Peanut Butter & Chocolate for all! YUMMY! I love that stuff so freaking much. Peanut Butter is win all around.
[...] men ren faire tights: I giggle profusely when I see this search term come up. It’s all because of this post. [...]
