In the life of Smash
The job market sucks in Georgia. I have a feeling I will have to take a position I will not enjoy. *le sigh*
Aislynn from Stitch. Read. Cook. asked me to participate in her A Day in the Life Of feature in August. I’m excited, but now I have to come up with something cool to write, since my days are actually pretty lame right now.
EEEE! I was blurbed for the 2nd time in a week! These are my first tastes of stardom (heh! don’t burst my bubble) and I am litterally on CLOUD 9! This time, I made it into the mass market paperback release of Rhiannon Frater’s The First Days, which you should read, by the way! I’m in the company of some other awesome reviewers, too!

Favorite Quotes of the Week
Donovan Caine naked, water droplets sliding down his lean body, his muscles clenching and relaxing as he washes himself. Mmm. Nice image. Despite our earlier confrontation, I still found the detective extremely sexy. He’d be even more attractive if he’d lose the righteous anger and the stick up his ass. But no man was perfect.
-Jennifer Estep, Spider’s Bite
“Cam laughed. “You know, my grandmother always said no woman with a decent vocabulary would resort to profanity.”
Kori huffed. “My grandmother said, ‘Get the hell out of my house, bitch, before I throw you out on your ass.”
― Rachel Vincent, Blood Bound

The job market sucks in GA? But I thought there were plentiful jobs for social workers.
Hope you find something to your liking soon.
Your mom looks like Farah Fawcett in that photo!
You have to be licensed or hold a certificate in this and that for most of the jobs. It’s hard finding jobs that I want to do with just my measly ole MSW.
LOL about my mom. She definitely had that hair.
*hugs* You’re awesome–thanks for the shout-out!
CONGRATS on the double blurbage!! That is so flippin’ cool. And “tinks titties”??? WTH is wrong with people?!?
“Tink’s Titties” is one of the many phrases by my FAVORITE book character evar, Jenks the pixie. He stars in Kim Harrison’s The Hollows series. That is why I was so happy to see someone search for the phrase. ha!
And you’re welcome.
OMG–I totally forgot about that! For some reason, my mind went straight to the gutter and thought P@RN! I didn’t even think about the intrepid Jenks. I think there’s something wrong with me. *shakes head*
I could’ve sworn you knew Jenks…but I can never remember who is actually a fan b/c I don’t come across many of us. SO sad.
I adore Jenks–so sad about his wife. Maybe this new gal will spice things up for him. The Hollows just wouldn’t be the same without that little foul-mouthed pixie! And Jenks definitely deserves more love than he gets. He’s awesome.
eeeeeeeeeeeep! I haven’t read A Perfect Blood yet! (I know!!!!)
Crap–I’M SORRY!! Nothing happens. Nope nothing. Nothing at all…
I hope you end up finding something you like rather than having to settle for something you’re not wholly satisfied with! Best of luck!
Congrats on the book blurbs. I think that may be the ultimate. Way to go on your series list. It feels good.
It feels ultimate. And good!
Well, maybe you can find a job to tide you over while you wait for the perfect one to come along. I think the job market sucks pretty much everywhere at the moment, especially in your chosen profession. Wait, that didn’t come out at all supportive. Let me try again:
You will find your dream job because you are awesome. It will come along when you need it most. In the meantime, you will have fun with your cats and read some epic books.
How did you get the banner on the side of your blog?
Cialina did it.
My profession should always have jobs a plenty, especially when the economy sucks!
I agree…it’s just one of the first things to go when the economy is bad.
You’re famous!! How exciting!!!
Love that Rachel Vincent quote
Congratulations on being quoted! That is so fantastic and exciting. I’m sorry about the job market : ( I wish you the best of luck. And everyone is raving about Shadow and Bone. Glad you praised it too…I’ll have to try it.
